Casing for Raspberry Pi 8 Channel Relay Expansion Board.
Target was to create an inexpensive casing within a short time. The task included industrial and mechanical design.
The wall-mounted casing is made of three parts.
1. Transparent lens is cut from plastic sheet. It is tinted and back-printed to hide the hardware and show the icons and branding. The lens has a hole for an easy access to relay screws.
2. Plastic case is injection molded. It is designed for manufacturing with a natural mold, that is cheaper than multipart mold. The case has a hole for wiring.
3. Plastic part is attached to the plastic case to close the plug holes in the case.
